Actor Kurt Russell Absolutely Schools Anti-Second Amendment Hollywood Reporter, and It’s Awesome

KurtRussell

The typical Hollywood actor is a far-left radical controlist. They are Democrat sycophants who believe that they know what’s best for everyone’s life. That ‘best’ typically includes more government intervention so that Big Brother government can run the lives of others and force those in disagreement with their agenda into compliance.

Kurt Russell is not the typical Hollywood actor. He is pretty legendary in Hollywood and is also a self-described Libertarian. During a recent interview with Hollywood reporter Jeffrey Wells, Russell took a strong stand for one of the left’s favorite constitutional rights to attack – the Second Amendment.

One of the topics of discussion during the interview was producer Quentin Tarantino, who has made millions producing films that glorify “gun violence” and thug life culture, then attacks law-abiding citizens who desire to exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms.

Wells did what lefties typically do. He went on the attack against white men by saying that guns are “a metaphor that disenfranchised white guys need.” Russell was not falling for that warped way of thinking with the left’s assertion that gun control will stop terrorists, along with the sick line by some leftist politicians that Republicans are putting guns in the hands of terrorists by not stripping law-abiding Americans of Second Amendment rights by ‘regulating’ their gun rights all in the name of ‘doing something.’

Russell said, “If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists’ point of view, I think you’re, like, out of your mind. I think anybody [who says that] is. I think it’s absolutely insane.”

He then explained that the way you change ‘gun culture’ is by making criminals and terrorists wonder what their intended victim might do to stop them. He asserted that things change when that attacker is concerned with whether the victim has the means, in this case a gun, to stop them.

“Dude, you’re about to find out what I’m gonna do, and that’s gonna worry you a lot more,” the actor continued. “And that‘s what we need. That will change the concept of gun culture, as you call it, to something [like] reality. Which is, if I’m a hockey team and I’ve got some guy bearing down on me as a goal tender, I’m not concerned about what he’s gonna do — I’m gonna make him concerned about what I’m gonna do to stop him. That’s when things change.”

Of course, Wells would not relent. He had to continue to press the issue by bringing up the no-fly list, a list which is filled with inaccuracies and lacks due process. Even FOX News’ contributor and senior writer for the Weekly Standard, Stephen Hayes, was accidentally placed on it.

Arguing back, Wells invoked the no-fly list, saying that the people on the list are there for a “good reason,” but that they can allegedly still “get [a] hold of a gun pretty easily.”

“They can also make a bomb pretty easily. So what?” Russell retorted. “They can also get knives and stab you. [What are you] gonna do about that? They can also get cars and run you over. [What are you] gonna do about that?”

Wells then went to a typical liberal debate tactic – condescension. He argued that the San Bernardino terrorists did not use cars to which Russell shot back that other terrorists have. He then gave Wells a strong dose of reality. He passionately stated, “Whaddaya gonna do? Outlaw everything? That isn’t the answer.”

Don’t give the controlists on the left any ideas, Kurt.
