[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]MSNBC’s resident race baiter host Al Sharpton has made a career as a shakedown artist, finagling a way for companies to give him money in exchange for him not taking them down with his bigoted, race baiting antics. Sharpton has never been one too keen on facts. Like a toddler throwing a tantrum, he wants what he wants when he wants it and he will do anything necessary to get it, regardless of the consequences.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Sharpton, whose 150 lb weight loss have led some to wonder if he is sick, is threatening a hunger strike in an attempt to force the confirmation of Loretta Lynch as the next Attorney General. But, this isn’t just any hunger strike. This hunger strike will be one day on and one day off. So, those participating can get their fill on one day as they prepare for the next day of fasting.
In a statement on Wednesday, Sharpton explained this new attempt to force Congress to give him what he wants. He said, “As long as the Senate refuses to take fifteen minutes to confirm someone for Attorney General that they have already confirmed twice for U.S. Attorney,” National Action Network and its allies “will do everything in our power to draw attention to this completely unfair and unnecessary delay to vote to confirm Loretta Lynch.”
Janaye Ingram, executive director of NAN, added, “We stand with Loretta Lynch and are so in support of this cause that we are willing to sacrifice our daily meals to impress upon the U.S. Senate that it’s time to call a vote.”
Perhaps Ms. Ingram forgot that they are not sacrificing their daily meals, only meals every other day.
Sharpton and his ilk need to understand how our system of government works. Acting like toddlers and refusing to eat, at least every other day, until the person you want to be confirmed as Attorney General is confirmed is not what our founders intended when they established this country. It should also be added that when pressed, Loretta Lynch has testified that she would not enforce existing laws in regards to amnesty and would not address Obama’s unconstitutional executive order overreach.
