The station posted an update on their Facebook page letting people know that the American flag had been returned to the top of the building and noted they were awaiting a response from the mayor.
The city’s statement was simply that it was a mistake and neither the mayor nor the city council were aware of the changing out of the American flag for the LGBT flag.

They mayor’s apology appears to have been overall accepted and taken well by residents of her city if the Facebook comments are any indication.
However, a few people did express anger and a desire for accountable, with the most powerful one below.
What do you think of this happening? If neither the mayor nor the city council ordered the removal of the American flag and the replacement with the rainbow LGBT flag, then who did? When will the investigation be launched so that the person who did this can be held accountable?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
