Bill Oesterle resigned after the company publicly sided with militant gay hate groups in opposition to Indiana’s religious freedom law. The law protects Christian owned businesses, such as bakeries, from discrimination by gay hate initiatives.

The company was founded by Oesterle and Angie Hicks in 1995.

Angie’s List stock prices (ANGI) tumbled 53.74 percent in the past year.

On April 16, 2015, the stock closed with a 8.40% decrease under the previous day’s close.

Oesterle halted a $40-million building project ostensibly to protest Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
