Shock jock radio host Howard Stern is not known for his keen political analysis. The opinionated host addresses a large variety of issues on his show and mostly, the issues are of little social or political substance.
However, during a recent segment on his show, Stern revealed that he is a Second Amendment supporter and shut-down plenty of the arguments that came from a vehement Second Amendment opponent- his own producer, Gary Dell’Abate (better known as “Bababooey.”)
Dell’Abate claimed that the U.S. should impose restrictions on the amount of guns and ammunition someone should be allowed to own. Stern wasn’t having it.
“You think a guy should have the right to own 300 guns?” the freedom-hating producer asked.
“Yes, I do,” Stern replied. “What’s the difference if he has one or three hundred.”
Dell’Abate finally revealed that an American should be able to own two guns. When Stern questioned what two guns they should be allowed to own, he replied, “I don’t know. Whatever is legal.”
Stern peppered him with questions to reveal his ignorance. Seemingly never having thought about the issue for a second, Dell’Abate “didn’t know” if there should be limits to the caliber of ammunition a person can own, but claimed, “You probably should limit the amount of ammunition somebody should have.”
Stern got down to the basics of the argument and pointed-out to Dell’Abate that the Second Amendment is a right. Those purchasing firearms are conducting themselves in a legal manner and told Dell’Abate “You’re assuming he’s a criminal.”
The below back-and-forth is entertaining and hardly what I would call a hard-hitting political discussion of one of the most important issues in modern America.
However, it is a telling representation of the idiocy that can be found in “everyday’ Americans who do not seem willing to examine their political opinions for any shred of fairness or constitutional consistency.
Listen below to see this moron get shut-down and be forewarned: VERY strong language ahead.
