During a campaign rally in Irving, Texas, GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson made a stunning claim.
Speaking to supporters, Carson said he has quite a few unanswered phone calls with messages on his phone where he has been offered money and other special political favors if he would simply drop out of the race. Carson was not specific in who made this offer, only describing them as “special interests.”
Carson said, “I’ve got unanswered calls on my phone right now, ‘Oh, if you did this or did this, and did this, or if you drop out and support this guy, we’ll give you all this money and we’ll make sure you’re a senator here. ” He continued, “What a bunch of crap. This is about saving our nation. This is not about horse-trading and making deals.”
Despite the huge, bombshell accusation, Carson declined to name names, even when asked by a reporter to do so.
Ben Carson would only say that those “special interest” people who are trying to get him out of the race with these alleged bribery offers can “jump in the lake.”
