The very Tea Party forces that led to the demise of establishment RINO squish and friend and texting buddy of Donald Trump John Boehner have replaced him in the House of Representatives with a Tea Party candidate, conservative businessman and former Army ranger Warren Davidson in Ohio’s special election to fill the former Speaker of the House’s congressional seat.
The Associated Press reports that Davidson, a political newcomer, garnered a whopping 77 percent of the vote with 94 percent of precincts reporting. Far beneath Davidson was the Democrat candidate, Corey Foister, who only received 21 percent, with a Green Party candidate not worthy of mentioning at 2 percent.
Warren Davidson will likely join the House Freedom Caucus after being endorsed by House Freedom Caucus member Jim Jordan and the powerful pro-economic freedom, pro-free market group the Club for Growth, endorsed him.
Davidson’s victory signals a massive defeat for the RINO establishment as crony groups like Defending Main Street, a pro-cronyism Super PAC and Right Way Initiative, a RINO front group, reportedly spent more than $680,000 backing Davidson’s squishy RINO opponents in the primary election in March.
Additionally, Davidson’s victory is a poke in the eye of RINO establishment squish John Boehner, who just weeks ago referred to Tea Party stalwart and constitutional conservative Ted Cruz as “Lucifer in the flesh,” for Cruz’s propensity to kick the GOP establishment in the balls while fighting for the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
