“We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized.” ~ Ted Cruz, following Brussels Islamic terrorist attacks.

Ted Cruz made politically correct progressive leftist heads explode, including those of the smug Democrat Media Complex, following the above comment made by Cruz following the horrific Islamic terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium this week.

Cruz faced the fire this morning from CBS This Morning leftist co-hosts Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell, and Oprah Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King, who were outraged that a Republican presidential candidate would actually have a plan — or part of a plan — to stop the kind of Islam-inspired terrorist attacks that occurred in Brussels, and they let it show by peppering Cruz with thinly-veiled charges of racism and discrimination against Muslims.

“We saw a horrific terror attack in Brussels and our prayers this morning are with the families of those murdered, of those wounded,” Cruz said. “But what is important is that was not a lone wolf, that wasn’t an isolated attack. It was radical Islamic terrorism. It was ISIS that has declared jihad, that is waging war on us.”

Ted Cruz then educated the hosts, as well as communist NY Mayor Bill de Blasio’s (real name: Warren Wilhelm, Jr.) and what Cruz referred to as de Blasio’s “political henchmen” (clips were shown of NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton strongly rebuking Cruz for his position), informing them that his policy had, in fact, already been implemented in New York City, but it was scrapped by de Blasio because of political correctness.

“New York City, under Mayor Bloomberg, had a program that focused on, worked proactively with, Muslim communities to stop radicalization to prevent attacks from radical Islamic terrorism before they occur,” Cruz said. “Now what happened, Mayor de Blasio came in and decided political correctness mattered more than keeping people safe. He disbanded the program.”

Cruz continued by bashing Obama and Hillary Clinton, who are “bound up by political correctness” for refusing to even “utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ and they refuse to be serious in defeating it.”

After CBS leftist Norah O’Donnell tried to argue that the previous plan in NYC, similar to the one Cruz is now proposing, was ineffective, racist, and unworkable because police are already “overwhelmed,” she challenged Cruz to name neighborhoods — even one — where there are high concentrations of Muslims where Islamism may thrive.

Ted Cruz did not hesitate to answer what O’Donnell no doubt thought was a great “gotcha” question.

“You have communities, for example, in Minnesota,” Cruz informed O’Donnell. “You have communities in Michigan with heavy concentration [of Muslims] and you have incidents of radical Imams preaching Jihadism, preaching Islamism.”

Cruz again had to inform the progressive leftist panel that there is a difference between Islam and Islamism, a concept the trio seemed to have a difficult time comprehending.

“Islamism commands that you either murder the infidels or forcibly convert them,” Cruz declared. “You wage jihad. And here’s the consequence of President Obama and Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio refusing to acknowledge what we’re fighting: You end up with policies that don’t keep us safe.”

Cruz explained that rather than being discriminatory, patrolling Muslim neighborhoods to stop terrorism would actually make the peaceful Muslims in those neighborhoods more safe.

Cruz lost to Trump Tuesday night in the Arizona primary, with Trump still failing to garner a majority of GOP voters — even with the narrowed field — while Cruz more than doubled the combined votes of John Kasich and Donald Trump, earning 69 percent of votes in the Utah Caucus.
