Several news outlets are reporting that John Boehner’s right hand man, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, is dropping out of the race to replace “Bendover” Boehner as the nation’s next Speaker of the House.
McCarthy was considered by most to be the overwhelming favorite to replace Boehner, and was Boehner’s hand-picked successor, but was blocked by the 40-member Freedom Caucus, which kept McCarthy from reaching the 218 vote threshold.
McCarthy was being challenged by Congressmen Daniel Webster (R-FL) and Jason Chaffetz (R-UT).
It was clear on Thursday that McCarthy did not have the 218 votes necessary to get elected to the speakership.
His dropping out is seen as a major victory for conservatives, who felt that replacing Boehner with another RINO would result in no improvement for the the nation and no upgrade in stopping the unconstitutional freight train known as the Obama Regime.
McCarthy has a “F” voting record from Conservative Review.
