As the results in the Kansas GOP caucus roll in, one candidate is so far ahead of the pack that the race has been called.
With over 48% of the precincts reporting, Texas Senator and constitutional conservative Ted Cruz has been declared the winner.

Cruz is absolutely trouncing reality TV star and bloviating billionaire Donald Trump 49.1% to 24.5%. Florida Senator Marco Rubio rounds out the top three with 14.8% of the vote.
At this point, Ohio Governor John Kasich has garnered 9.9% of the vote.
Ted Cruz outperformed caucus polls in Kansas by a large margin. As early as March 4, a poll released by the Kansas Republicans had Donald Trump ahead of Cruz by six, 35 – 29.
Trump canceled his scheduled speech on Saturday morning at CPAC at the last minute claiming that the decision was made in order to continue on the campaign trail. However, many believe Trump decided to diss the attendees at the conservative grassroots conference because of a rumored walkout planned during his speech.
