A Third Political Party is Born: ‘The Renegade Party’

The #NeverTrump and #NeverHillary forces who believe that America needs a better choice than two New York liberals, one a corrupt liar who should be in the Big House rather than the White House, and another, a bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor who has no principles, no morals, no values and an untreated and severe case of narcissistic personality disorder, has officially kicked into high gear.

While candidates have yet to be named, at the time of this writing, a new Twitter account, “The Renegade Party” was started on Monday night. Its first tweets took place Tuesday afternoon and followership shot to over 1,000 followers shortly after.

The new Twitter account is only following six individuals, which may provide a clue as to who has organized the party.

Besides Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, considered an establishment Republican, the account follows a group who would normally not be in 100 percent agreement on issues, from Tea Party-supported Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse , to more establishment types like 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, American Enterprise Institute’s Arthur Brooks, and General (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal, along with former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, who also ran for the presidency in 2012, and even billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

Mark Cuban, who has some views that lean more Democrat, was reported to be interviewed by Republicans as a possible alternative to Trump, but reportedly declined the offer. Cuban, admitted over the weekend that he could not support Hillary Clinton, but has also been outspoken against Trump, referring to him recently as ‘That guy in the bar who will say anything to get laid,”

The URL RenegadeParty.com redirects to NeitherTrumpNorHillary.com and gives a “Coming Soon” message, indicating that the site is under construction.

Tuesday, Kristol indicated that no presidential candidate has officially been chosen for the party. Both Romney and Sasse have been names that have been mentioned as potential candidates, as has been Retired U.S. Marine General “Mad Dog” Mattis.

Ted Cruz , a constitutional conservative who is in second place in the delegate count on the Republican side, has said that he has no interest in being a third-party candidate.

While it may be extremely difficult for the Renegade Party to come up with a candidate who would be acceptable to both establishment Republicans and constitutionally conservative Tea Partiers who haven’t sold their principles to the Trump Train, considering that Trump and Hillary have the two highest unfavorability ratings in the history of presidential politics, perhaps almost anyone would seem viable at this point — a time when the Democrat candidate could be arrested at any moment and the “Republican” accused his main opponent’s father of murdering John F. Kennedy.

It’s interesting and more than ironic that the group would use the name “Renegade,” being that on Sunday, Breitbart News, ran a piece entitled, “Bill Kristol Republican Spoiler, Renegade Jew,” an opinion piece disparaging Kristol for not joining the Trump Train, a piece that former Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro referred to as “garbage.”
