TRAGEDY STRIKES AGAIN: Second Military Plane Crash of the Day

A U.S. Navy Blue Angels plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Smyrna,  Tennessee. The plane had just taken off for a practice flight.

Not much information is known about the crash as of this moment. Neither the identity nor the condition of the pilot is not known. There are reports of black smoke beyond the runway in Smyrna.

This is the second crash involving a military plane today. Earlier today. a U.S. Navy Thunderbird plane crashed after performing at the Air Force Academy graduation. The pilot was able to eject from the plane, though his condition is not known at this time. The plane reportedly suffered engine failure though an investigation is still underway.

UPDATE, 5:10 pm Eastern: One person has been pronounced dead in the Blue Angels crash. The Blue Angels had been practicing ahead of the Great Tennessee Airshow to be held this weekend in Smyrna.
