Broncos Linebacker Disrespects Flag; Gets Hit Where it Hurts the Most

Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall, #54, disrespecting the American flag by refusing to stand during the National Anthem

Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall (never to be confused with the New York Jets wide receiver by the same name) disrespected the American flag and everything that it stands for during the team’s opening game on Thursday night, refusing to stand for the Star-Spangled Banner, joining communism-praising 49er’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick who started the anti-American political stunt during the NFL preseason.

Not only was Brandon Marshall immediately the recipient of some immediate karma by getting injured and forced out of the game against the Carolina Panthers but on Friday the linebacker lost a sponsor, hitting Marshall where it hurts most — in the wallet.

“Although we have enjoyed Brandon Marshall as our spokesperson over the past five months, Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU) has ended our partnership,” wrote Glenn Strebe, the organization’s President/CEO on a Facebook post on Friday.

Strebe declared that AAFCU respects Marshall’s right of expression but that his actions are not aligned with those of his company’s.
