If a man approached you in a bar and punches you in the face, you are then in a fight whether you ever wanted to be or not.
No better analogy exists to explain the situation facing Western nations who are encounter Islamic terrorism on their turf. Whether we ever wanted to be at war with radical Islam is irrelevant; we are here.
As President Obama cowardly shrugs-off the dangers posed by radical Islam, ISIS and other terrorist groups gather strength from the West’s weakness and unwillingness to accept the situation we are now in.
On Wednesday, liberal Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared that Canada was not at war with radical Islam, even as Canada’s supposed allies come under attack by the despotic organization that has grown thanks to Western inaction.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion declared that they were rejecting the term “at war.” Trudeau made his spineless comments during a CBC Radio interview and Dion spoke in the House of Commons foyer.
Trudeau maintained that the conflict with ISIS does not meet the criteria for war.
Evidently, indiscriminate killing of civilians with the hope of achieving political and religious ends is not “war,” according to the cowardly Prime Minister.
The remarks stand in contrast to the comments made by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, the leader of Canada’s supposed ally.
Valls spoke at an emergency meeting at the Elysee Palace following the Brussel terrorist attacks and said “We are at war and have been suffering for several months in Europe.” France endured a horrific terrorist attack in November which killed 130 people in Paris.
“We are faced with war and we need to be mobilized at all times,” he added.
Meanwhile, Canada, France’s alleged ally, appears to be mimicking on a policy level the same kind of cowardice seen in the Obama Administration which remains unwilling to address the very-real threat radical Islam poses to the Western world.
If this is the kind of “leadership” that is being embraced by Western nations as Europe remains under attack, it is obvious that the problem of Islamic terrorism will only get worse so long as cowardice is implemented on a policy level.
Though they are barbaric savages, look to ISIS as an example of resolve. They are publicly executing “infidels” and ravaging Iraq and Syria.
Meanwhile, Canada’s Prime Minister refuses to admit the obvious and our president appears infinitely more concerned with watching a baseball game with a communist dictator than he is with standing strong against ISIS.
