Americans want change — real change, but not the type of controlist, intrusive policies inflicted upon America by Democrat Barack Obama, but change from Obama, and his policies.
A new CNN poll reveals that a strong majority, 57 percent of Americans, believe that the perfect presidential candidate would “change most of the policies of the Obama administration, while only 41 percent said they would prefer a candidate who would “continue most of the policies of the Obama administration.”
Additionally, the poll indicated that Americans (59%) want their next candidate to be someone who has “a lot of experience as an executive, either in government or business, with strong leadership skills.”
Senator Ted Cruz became the first official presidential candidate, announcing his bid on Twitter on Monday, March 23, a date chosen to coincide with the anniversary of the signing of Obamacare, legislation Cruz has promised to repeal if elected president.
The CNN poll does not bode well for potential 2016 Democrat candidates, including Hillary Clinton, who have roundly supported most, if not all, of Obama’s policies.
Candidates with executive experience, like Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and former Texas Governor Rick Perry, would seemingly benefit from the new poll.
