Could the Upcoming Rally in This Liberal State Be the Start of Tea Party 2.0?

Washington state, “the other Washington,” is known for its far-left politics because of the dominance of the leftist lunatics in Seattle and surrounding King County, where communist Democrats like “Baghdad Jim” McDermott (Commie-WA) are the norm. However, the conservatives are in the area lit the initial fire that launched the modern-day American grassroots Tea Party movement, Americans fed up with big government overreach and disgusted with both political parties.

I know, I was there, along with PolitiStick editor-in-chief Jennifer Burke. It was the first modern-day Tea Party in America, in the most unexpected of places, the downtown area of the People’s Republic of Seattle, an event coordinated by Keli Carender on February 16, 2009.

The trigger that energized the Tea Party, the proverbial “last straw” that caused people to rise up was the $900 billion Obama Stimulus Plan, referred to as the “Porkulus” because of all the political favors and unearned handouts, i.e., pork, doled out to Obama constituents, all sold under the guise of dealing with the nation’s “crumbling infrastructure.”

Over six years later, politicians in both parties are still clamoring for more money for “crumbling infrastructure,” as Tea Partiers are wondering where the last TRILLION went.

Fast forward to 2015, and another perfect storm is brewing for Americans to unite against tyrannical government, with the related hot-button issues of the the literal Obama war against Americans, the fundamental transformation of acting against America’s best interests, by infiltrating America with illegal aliens, giving them unconstitutional amnesty via King George-style royal edicts, and now pushing to import tens (or hundreds) of thousands of Syrian refugees (72% who are military-age men, not “women and 3-year-old orphans”), when Obama himself knows that there will no doubt be many who are members of the Islamic terrorist group ISIS.

Washington state Governor Jay Inslee (Commie-WA), is one of the few governors in the nation who has vowed to accept Obama’s Syrian refugees, and citizens in the area aren’t going to go quietly into the night while their state is destroyed.

On Friday, November 20, at 12:00 noon PT, a “Stop Mass Immigration of Unknown “Migrants” rally will be held on the steps of the state capitol in Olympia, WA, to push back against Obama’s suicidal policy and Inslee’s willing compliance. See the invite below:StopMassImmigrationRally (1) Virginia Coverdale, leader of the Olympia Chapter of Act for America, an anti-terrorism, pro-America organization founded by Brigitte Gabriel, told PolitiStick that the reason American should stop more Syrian refugees from migrating to America centers around national security and preventing the type of terrorism that occurred in Paris, France just days ago from happening in the United States:

“We know that the enemy is embedded in the migration. We know for two reasons. One, the enemy has told us, and the second is that our European friends are telling us — that this is a primary male, an aggressive element.”

“We can’t be a beacon of light if we don’t have any security in our own country,” Coverdale told us, making the point that America has always been a very generous nation.

“For us to be able to help others, we have to be secure in our own country,” she reiterated. “We cannot allow this to happen, because we are letting the enemy in,” Coverdale said, referring to ISIS Islamic terrorists.

It is notable that FBI Director James Comey told the House Homeland Security Committee in October, explaining the futility of the Obama argument that procedures are in place to properly screen and vet Syrian refugees, that it was impossible to guarantee that terrorists wouldn’t be able to infiltrate the refugees:

“If someone has not made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interests reflected in our databases, we can query our data until the cows come home but nothing will show up because we have no record of that person.”

Washington State House members, Rep. Graham Hunt (R – Orting), and Rep. Jesse Young (R – Gig Harbor), who happen to be chair and co-chair the Washington State Leadership team of Ted Cruz for President, came out in strong opposition to further Syrian migration as well as issuing strong support for the rally.

Rep. Graham Hunt said that he is “deeply disappointed in Gov. Inslee’s decision to accept Syrian refugees into our state,” and agreed with FBI Director James Comey’s statement. “The bottom line is there is no way to verify the identity of every refugee, which puts Washingtonians at risk,” Hunt said, while pointing to the news reports of fake Syrian passports being issued in the Middle East for as little as $250.

“Another concern I have is that in a poll released last year, 13% of Syrian refugees said they had a positive view of ISIS. Are we absolutely sure we’re going to know who those 13% are?” Hunt asked, while saying that he is inclined to agree more with FBI Director Comey’s assessment of the risks as opposed to Democrat Gov. Jay Inslee’s:

“My heart goes out to the thousands of innocent refugees who have been displaced. My opposition to the governor’s decision has nothing to do with ‘fear and anger against Muslims,’ which Mr. Inslee made a point of calling out in his release. I served this country in the armed forces to free Muslims from tyranny and oppression in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

My opposition, rather, is rooted in the fact that all it takes is one terrorist disguising himself as a refugee to wreak havoc on our state and murder civilians. Until I am convinced we actually do have a robust system in place to ensure we can separate the terrorists from the innocent refugees, it is both irresponsible and risky to let them all in. I will do everything in my power as your representative to ensure that does not happen.”

“It is completely irresponsible and I do not support any immigration policy of allowing unvetted, mass immigration from the Middle East,” Rep. Jesse Young said in his statement. “I furthermore stand opposed to the Governor’s and President’s plan to attempt to force this upon our communities. Please know that I am committed to use every legislative tool at my background…”

At last count there are 31 states who have publicly rejected the Obama scheme to flood America with thousands of Muslim Syrian refugees. On Friday, the rationale and common sense outrage over the Obama Regime’s reckless regard for national security may just reignite the Tea Party of 2009 which caused historic election upsets in 2010 and 2014. And Washington state would be the perfect place for Tea Party 2.0 to relaunch.
