Democrat NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo: Trump is a Gift from God

Far-left liberal Democrat New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Hillary Clinton supporter, described Republican nominee Donald Trump as a gift from God for Democrats this election cycle.

As reported by the New York Daily News on Monday evening, Cuomo told a crowd of Democrat fundraiser attendees that a Democrat takeover of the House of Representatives — once considered a new impossibility — is within shouting distance in his view thanks to Donald Trump’s “imploding” campaign which he contends is going to negatively affect Republicans in House races across the country.

“The good Lord gave us a moment with this Donald Trump,” Cuomo told the audience. “He really, really did.”

Andrew Cuomo urged Democrat candidates to push Republicans they’re running against into a box by forcing them to either embrace Trump or reject him completely and argued that the damage Trump is doing to the Republican brand is much worse than most people realize.

“I believe the damage that this Mr. Trump is doing is far greater than people appreciate,” Cuomo said. “He has hit a base level of repugnancy that supersedes philosophy. . . . It is insulting to any decent person.”

Prior to Donald Trump announcing his candidacy for the presidency as a Republican, it was reported by the Washington Post that Trump had a conversation with former president Bill Clinton, the husband of Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton. Bill reportedly encouraged Trump to run telling him he should play a larger role in the Republican Party.

Is this larger role the destruction of the Republican control of the Congress as bragged about by Cuomo or was Bill Clinton referring to the long-term damage to the Republican Party as a whole by Trump that many people fear?
