Democrats’ Benghazi Report Rebuttal References Donald Trump 23 Times for Some Reason

Was Donald Trump in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11th, 2012? Did he leave Americans high-and-dry to fend for themselves against an onslaught of Islamic terrorists? Did he fabricate a cover-up story about a YouTube video to explain his shocking negligence?

No? Then it seems odd that when discussing Benghazi, Democrats are so keen to mentioned Trump… Unless, of course, their goal is to distract from Hillary Clinton’s shocking crimes.

Democrats have a standard operating procedure for dealing with scandals. They often work vehemently to obstruct investigative efforts and destroy evidence and when all is said and done, they claim that the matter has been thoroughly investigated and feign an “I told you so” attitude.

This was what happened with the Benghazi investigation. While the consulate smoldered, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Susan Rice as well as many within the State Department worked to cover-up the numerous failings and derelictions of duties that cost Americans their lives.

They deleted emails, they coerced witnesses and stalled at every conceivable opportunity to deter the investigators of the Benghazi terrorist attack and the subsequent cover-up.

After investigators were unable to uncover the “smoking gun” that would put Clinton in handcuffs, the Democrats broke-out into a chorus of “we told you so” while neglecting to mention the outrageous tampering and obstruction that took place in order to protect Clinton and Obama.

Still, Republicans authored a scathing report on the outrageous failings by Clinton’s State Department. In response, Democrats offered their own pathetic report on the investigative committee that investigated the terrorist attack that serves as a sophomoric rebuttal of Republican conclusions.

For some reason, though the names of those murdered by Islamic terrorists are mentioned but a handful of times, the report mentions Donald Trump nearly two dozen times.

The Democrat-authored 339-page report on the House Select Committee on Benghazi mentions Donald Trump 23 times. This is more than the combined total of mentions for Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, two former Navy SEALs killed in the attack.

Ambassador Chris Stevens is mentioned 85 times and Sean Smith, a State Department employee slaughtered in the attack, is mentioned 36 times.

The report alleges that Republican efforts have been a witch-hunt of sorts and defends Clinton as having been “active and engaged” during the 13-hour-long terrorist attack that left four Americans dead and many other American operatives engaged in a Custer-esque last stand to fight-off repeated volleys of terrorists charges on an American-held compound. American operatives desperately waited for U.S. support that would never come.

Though Democrats claim that Clinton was “active and engaged,” Republicans concluded that Clinton held meetings during the firefight that included discussions of topics ranging from how to craft a narrative regarding the attack which blamed a YouTube video, discussions of a Florida pastor that had threatened to hold a Koran-burning and, astonishingly, repeated extended debates on what clothing American operatives should wear if they were to mount a rescue operation.

As Americans fought for their lives, Clinton’s State Department reportedly had U.S. Marines change outfits four different times as officials considered whether a uniformed presence in Libya was appropriate.

Democrats are correct in asserting that Republicans were unable to uncover evidence that should place Hillary Clinton behind bars. However, that serves as a testament to the uncanny ability of corrupted politicians to cover their behinds in the midst of a scandal and the ability of Democrats to confuse, obfuscate and distract with a reckless disregard for the truth and the lives of Americans slaughtered because of foreign policy failures and criminal negligence.
