Donald Trump RIPS Macy’s for Supporting Illegal Immigration

Freedom in America is dead. In the America that Obama has been building, or rather fundamentally transforming, since he assumed the presidency, to dare to be against any part of the progressive agenda will get you targeted by the government or be subject lose a range of economic opportunity from fascist supporting leftists who seek to destroy you. To speak your mind or stand by your own principles makes you a target. Case in point is Donald Trump. First Univision dumped Trump, then NBC caved to the fascist loving lefts who want to silence anyone with whom they disagree. Now, Macy’s jumps on the Dump Trump bandwagon.

After making a statement during his presidential campaign announcement speech about the criminal element crossing the border illegally from Mexico into the United States, all hell broke lose.

After the Univision director of programming posted a picture comparing Donald Trump to Dylann Roof, the deranged racist who killed nine black Christians who were praying at a church, the network did not punish that executive. Instead, they dumped Trump and announced that they would not air the Miss Universe pageant as long as Trump was affiliated with it.

Trump is now suing them for $500 million in a breach of contract suit.

NBC quickly followed. The network announced that they would not air the Miss Universe pageant and that they were severing their relationship with Trump in the production of the show that made him even more of a household name, The Apprentice.

After NBC caved, a petition was started to encourage Macy’s to dump Trump as well. The petition was not begun by any everyday citizen. It was instead started by Angelo Carusone, executive vice president of George Soros-funded, communist front group Media Matters.

The petition, which received over 700,000 signatures, stated as follows.

“Donald Trump is a bigot. He does not believe in equal rights for women or ‘minorities’… If Macy’s is NOT a prejudice business then they must get Trump out of their business and advertising IMMEDIATELY!”

The real estate mogul has a line of clothing, the Donald Trump Collection, which is sold at Macy’s, as well as Empire by Trump cologne, and spring water.

In a sign that the thought police and speech gate keepers are in full control here in America, Macy’s announced in a statement Wednesday morning that they are severing their business ties with Trump as well, not because sales are low, but because of what he said about illegal immigration.

“We have no tolerance for discrimination in any form. We are disappointed and distressed by recent remarks about immigrants from Mexico. We do not believe the disparaging characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation. In light of statements made by Donald Trump, which are inconsistent with Macy’s values, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump menswear collection, which has been sold at Macy’s since 2004.”

This is very different from their response when Carusone attempted to get them to sever ties with Trump back in 2012. At that time, the company said in an email from CEO Terry Lundgren, “we respect your opinion and those who have signed the petition…Many individuals associated with the products sold at Macy’s – or any retailer, for that matter – express personal opinions that are not related to the merchandise we sell or to the philosophies of our company. That is the nature of a free society.”

Not one to remain silent, Trump says the decision to cut ties with Macy’s was his idea because of the outside pressure they experienced from groups. He also stated that he took issue with the fact that the line associated with his name was made in China and would insist that any future line of clothing associated with him be made in America.

“While selling Trump ties and shirts at Macy’s is a small business in terms of dollar volume, my principles are far more important and therefore much more valuable. I have never been happy about the fact that the ties and shirts are made in China, and should I start a new product line somewhere in the future, I would insist that they are made in America. Quite frankly, I was never satisfied with manufacturing my product in China, but because of what they’ve done in terms of devaluing their currency, it is very hard for other companies to compete and make such apparel in the United States. These are the kinds of issues I am committed to addressing.”

Trump didn’t stop there. He boldly demonstrates how to respond to such corporate antics that stifle speech and support fascism.

“I have also continually stated that I am not beholden to anyone and this includes NBC and Macy’s. Clearly, NBC and Macy’s support illegal immigration, which is totally detrimental to the fabric of our once great country. Both Macy’s and NBC totally caved at the first sight of potential difficulty with special interest groups who are nothing more than professional agitators, who are not looking out for the people they purport to represent, but only for themselves. It is people like this that are actually running our country because our leaders are weak and ineffective.”

Welcome to Obama’s America, where dissent from his progressive agenda and fundamental transformation of America makes you a target for destruction.
