Bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump, the current GOP frontrunner in the presidential race, reportedly runs a very tight ship when it comes to reporters. He is said to keep reporters in a pen-like cage during his rallies so that he can point to them with insults.
Recently, a photographer at a Trump rally in Virginia was slammed to the ground, and it appears that his head was slammed against a table. Apparently, the photographer, Time’s Chris Morris, attempted to step out of their “pen” to take a picture of protesters. It resulted in Trump’s Secret Service detail grabbing him by the neck and slamming him to the ground. Last night, there was another violent incident, this time involving a female reporter and Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.
That female reporter was FOX News contributor and Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields.
Fields was covering Trump’s Florida press conference on Monday night. When she attempted to ask Trump a question, she was reportedly grabbed by Lewandowski who, according to witnesses, attempted to throw her to the ground.
Jamie Weinstein, senior editor at The Daily Caller and Fields’ boyfriend, tweeted about the incident.
Trump always surrounds himself w thugs. Tonight thug Corey Lewandowski tried to pull my gf @MichelleFields to ground when she asked tough q

In a statement, Breitbart News CEO and President Larry Solov demanded an apology from Corey Lewandowski if it was indeed him, as witnesses have contended.
“It’s obviously unacceptable that someone crossed a line and make physical contact with our reporter. What Michelle has told us directly is that someone “grabbed her arm” and while she did not see who it was, Ben Terris of the Washington Post told her that it was Corey Lewandowski. If that’s the case, Corey owes Michelle an immediate apology.”
An apology? I contend that Corey Lewandowski should be fired so quickly that his head spins. To do anything less would be a sign of Donald Trump condoning of violence against women and giving the okay to an attack on the free press.
The response by apparent Trump supporters on Twitter emulated the vulgarian nature of Trump himself, from both males and females alike.
One woman obviously believes that what she believes are Fields’ “stupid questions” makes physical abuse by the Trump campaign okay.

Another obviously misogynistic man believes that the violence displayed by Lewandowski against Fields’ was deserved.

One Trumpbot revealed themselves to be a raging anti-Semite with this tweet.

This disgusting excuse for a human being attacked Weinstein’s sexuality for daring to report on what the Trump’s thug did. I’m embarrassed that this guy is a veteran. Looks like Trump has brought out the vulgarian in him.
U such a pussy, u couldn't pull your gf to the ground if u tried. My guess is she uses a strap on to get u off, fag https://t.co/k4sn3eotXO

There were a few who came to her defense, though most attacked him and Fields while praising Trump’s campaign for their violent actions.

There has been no comment from the Trump campaign about the war on women put on full display by his campaign last night.
One woman called out FOX News’ Eric Bolling and Sean Hannity for their deafening silence on the assault on Michelle Fields by Corey Lewandowski, a prominent member of the Trump campaign. Both Bolling and Hannity often appear to serve as Trump surrogates on their shows rather than hosts.
