If you’re on the fence whether Donald Trump is a cult leader and his followers are emotional, yet mindless drones, watch the response delusional pro-Trump protesters had when confronted by Ted Cruz with class, respect, civility, brilliance, facts, and logic in Marion, Indiana on Monday.
Cruz approached one particular low-information hillbilly, who was utterly unprepared to defend why he supported Trump. When confronted with historic facts about Trump’s track record on things like gun control and “the wall,” the rude group of Trumpaloompas simply shouted Trump-induced smears like “Lyin’ Ted,” “Do the math,” and “Are you Canadian,” simple two and three-word answers just like their dear leader.
Other brilliant debate points from Trump’s useful idiots were gems like “We don’t want you” and “Is that a Goldman Sachs jacket you’re wearing?” even though Trump has taken out tens of millions of dollars in loans from the unpopular New York investment bank over the years.
Even after the Trump worshiper asked Ted Cruz what he would do about the Second Amendment, and Cruz points out that he’s won cases before the Supreme Court protecting the Second Amendment while solicitor general of the State of Texas, and that in Donald Trump’s book, Trump says that he “hates guns,” the man is unwavering and unfazed.
His membership in the Trump Cult is still intact, despite the fact that Trump would never in a million years try to have a discussion with someone this beneath his wealth and status.
You’ve got to hand it to Trump. The fact that a bloviating New York liberal billionaire has convinced these rednecks that he’s somehow one of them has got to be the greatest con jobs pulled off in the history of the republic.
