Donald Trump and his campaign have received intense criticism for their failure to denounce support of white nationalist supremacists. His huge Twitter following within that brethren very frequently go after those conservatives who openly oppose Trump’s candidacy for the presidency, especially female, black, and Jewish conservatives.
Blacks conservatives often receive death threats centered around lynching. Females are threatened with sexual assault. Jewish conservatives are told they would look good in an oven. You get the sick and twisted picture. The alt-right is a disturbing wing that has emerged to center around the new Trump Republican party and gained lots of notoriety as Trump himself retweeted tweets in support of his candidacy from people on Twitter who also praise Adolf Hitler.
As we near Election Day, perhaps the Trump campaign is attempting to offer some daylight between them and the white supremacists who openly support him. On Thursday, Eric Trump said precisely what he would like to see happen to Louisiana Senate candidate David Duke, a former KKK leader and vocal Trump supporter. During an interview in Denver on 630 KHOW, Eric Trump said Duke deserves a bullet to the head.
“The guy does deserve a bullet. I mean, these aren’t good people. These are horrible people. In fact, I commend my father. My father’s the first Republican who’s gone out and said, ‘Listen, what’s happened to the African-American community is horrible and I’m going to take care of it.'”
Is Eric Trump trying to change the attack against his father from ‘he welcomes the support of white racists’ to ;the Trump family wants to play judge and jury in calling for the mob-style execution of people’? Given the fact that Trump has also been accused of having mob ties he is trying to hide, the visual put out by Eric Trump is beyond reckless.
As his father would say, “Not smart.”
Listen to Eric Trump say that David Duke deserves a bullet to the head.
