EXCLUSIVE: Dinesh D’Souza Reveals What’s Next for Him and What We Should Expect in 2016

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As libertarians and conservatives from around the globe converged on Sin City to celebrate FreedomFest, a gathering of free-market minds and advocates of limited government, PolitiStick was privileged to sit down with famed documentarian and author Dinesh D’Souza.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Outwardly relieved from his release from what many consider to be politically-motivated confinement, D’Souza spoke comfortably and enthusiastically about his upcoming projects.

“Happily, I’ve completed my eight months of penance of overnight confinement,” D’Souza joked. “I’m doing a book; it’s called ‘Stealing America.’ It’s coming out this Fall, in November.”

D’Souza notes that he “learned a fair amount” about criminal rackets while confined and that he was able to apply this knowledge to an understanding of the system of theft upon which Democrats rely.

While some of his hit film and political documentary, “America: Imagine the World Without Her” examined the history of radicalism by Hillary Clinton, D’Souza assured that he was working on a movie set for release next summer that deals not just with the radical history of Clinton, but the secret history of radical ideology present in modern so-called “progressivism.”

“We get this sort of storyline that the Democratic Party is the party of equal rights, civil rights, human rights and liberation and progressivism is a movement that has brought progress,” D’Souza explained. “But in reality, both the Democratic Party and progressivism have their roots in a seedy and blood-stained history that not only includes slavery, segregation, the Ku Klux Klan, but also includes eugenics, support for Fascism and Nazism and we’re going to tell some of that story in the movie.”

D’Souza’s books and films do not serve the viewer or reader with a series of interesting facts, but rather, they weave together a compelling narrative that explains a fuller picture of radicalism in America- that our so-called leaders are not leading America astray by foolishness, but by design.

This, D’Souza contends, is rooted in an adherence to Alinsky ideology- a style of political bullying advocated for by leftwing radical Saul Alinsky and who maintains a strong influence on Democratic Party leaders today.

Speaking of the Alinsky “shakedown” style of confrontation, D’Souza noted,

“You can see strains of it in the racial shakedown of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, but it has now become standard practice for the Democratic Party. The EPA, federal agencies, often accompanied by SWAT teams, now use this mechanism of shaking people down, extracting money out of them, extracting money out of banks, investment houses, insurance companies- so there’s a new story of American politics that is emerging here and we want to tell that story.”

Most know D’Souza from his blockbuster hit documentary, “2016: Obama’s America” and his follow-up hit, “America: Imagine the World Without Her.”

Of course, while most know D’Souza for his articulate and insightful looks into polarizing political figures and ideologies, even a casual observer of contemporary politics know of his recent legal difficulties.

While the issue is somewhat nuanced, D’Souza offered a brief summary of his sojourn through the inarguably politicized Obama Justice System:

“I gave $20,000 to a college friend of mine and for that, I got a big fine, I got eight months of confinement and I got some community service and some other things.”

With dignified restraint, D’Souza, who could have been justified in offering a seething diatribe about the inherent lack of impartiality he was afforded by the Justice Department, simply offered a calm juxtaposition between his case and that of Indian-born American citizen, Sant Singh Chatwal who, in 2014, admitted to orchestrating an elaborate scheme to funnel $186,000 to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign as well as the campaigns of other high-profile Democrat lawmakers.

Further, while having given nearly ten-times more in “straw donations” than D’Souza, Chatwal also admitted his role in a witness tampering scheme as he faced prosecution for the FEC violations.

Mr. Chatwal’s sentence? A Brooklyn judge sentenced the hotelier to three years of probation- two years less than that which was given to D’Souza, in addition to his numerous other penalties.

Just days after sitting down for this interview, D’Souza’s attorneys supplied the court-ordered psychology evaluations that were part of his plea agreement. Despite numerous court-approved psychological professionals giving the filmmaker a clean bill of health, U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman, appointed by President Bill Clinton, overruled the professional opinions and ordered an additional four years of community service for D’Souza and a continuation of psychological counseling.

“I’m not singling out Mr. D’Souza to pick on him,” Berman assured. “A requirement for psychological counseling often comes up in my hearings in cases where I find it hard to understand why someone did what they did.”

Without an utterance of an obscenity or a raise in voice, by simply highlighting the disparate treatment offered by the supposedly blind Lady Justice, D’Souza, from having laid-out the facts, was able to highlight the partisan nature of Obama’s Justice System through articulate, inescapable reasoning.

2016 discussed what America would look like after eight years of an Obama presidency. When asked if Americans should fear a Constitutional show-down as Obama nears his expiration date, D’Souza offered bittersweet comfort.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”553157113d3ff”][vc_column_text]

“I don’t think so,” D’Souza began. “I think that the Obama plan is to hand the baton to a fellow Alinskyite- Hillary Clinton- and to continue the remaking of America through the political process. The Democratic Party, what they’ve figured out is that they can conduct theft through the democratic process; they don’t actually have to subvert the process. They simply have to line-up an electoral majority on their behalf and then they can legally come to your house and pick up your furniture, reach for your wallet, close your college savings account. They don’t actually need to declare themselves into Mussolinis or Hitlers to do it; they can do it through the process and they’ve mastered the process. I think to fight them, we have to fight them within the process itself.”

Dinesh D’Souza has become a household name. By unflinchingly deconstructing the narratives and motivations of the radical left, he has done the one thing that is intolerable for despots: he has shined a light on their misdeeds, their brutish behavior and their careful manipulations.

For that, he has earned the wrath of the left that increasingly relies upon thuggish tactics to suppress dissent. However, in taking up this endeavor, he has rung a bell that simply cannot be unrung.

D’Souza is onto the long con and thanks to his books and films, we’re in on it, too.
