[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Next week, some of the nation’s top conservatives and libertarians will be descending upon the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas to discuss the role of concerned Americans in reclaiming our freedom from those who continually seek to squash it.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]FreedomFest has made a name for itself in recent years as a top-notch gathering of some of the greatest minds on the right. While the left gleefully seeks to create division within rightwing ranks, those who identify as libertarian and those who identify as conservative can often find much in common and coming-together to unite in our shared belief systems and express ideas serves as one of the biggest obstacles to complete liberal domination in America.
The gathering goes from July 8th to the 11th at Planet Hollywood on the famous Las Vegas strip. With countless activities, panels, discussions, debates and films, the whole event can feel a bit overwhelming for first-timers.
However, the event’s creator, world-famous Austrian economist Mark Skousen, has helped shape the event to cater to those who value freedom. As freedom is directly related to choice, FreedomFest aims to provide multiple choices for anyone and everyone who attends.
“In today’s world, everything is either prohibited or mandated. So, in both directions, our freedom seems to be squeezed,” Skousen told Politistick.
“I’ve always believed that one of the reasons we are losing the battle for freedom is that we are all a herd of cats, all going in our different directions… and that’s great. But we need to come together. This is our ninth year and I’ve always felt that it is important to have an annual event where we actually physically meet. And I think Las Vegas is the best place because it’s cheap, it’s central it’s got lots of things going on so that you’re never bored and there is lots of choice.”
Skousen is right when he says that the event will offer “lots of choice.” With speeches by Senator and presidential candidate Marco Rubio, investigative journalist John Stossel and economists Peter Schiff and Steve Forbes, activist filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza and media personality Glenn Beck as well as many others, it’s clear that there will be plenty of big names at this year’s event.
Further, the highlight for many will be an epic debate between two world-class economists: Keynesian Nobel Prize-winner Paul Krugman will face-off with supply-side Wall Street Journal economist Steve Moore. This will be a historic event!
