The identity of the suspect in the University of California at Merced stabbing incident was finally released on Thursday morning. Faisal Mohammad was named as the suspect. One of the victims, Byron Price, said that Mohammad was smiling as he was stabbing people, a clear indication that he was enjoying himself. He was killed by police after stabbing four people.

While authorities have said they do not know Mohammad’s motive, the Muslim terrorist group ISIS sent out a tweet that perhaps makes Mohammad’s motive clear.

FOX News reports that a Twitter account linked to ISIS, Obama’s JV Team, praised Mohammad for the attack.

Minutes after Mohammad’s name was released as the attacker, the ISIS-linked Twitter account sent out “May Allah accept him,” in Arabic. This account has reportedly been linked by terrorism experts to previous ISIS propaganda.

Just last week, this Twitter account sent out a series of videos calling for lone wolf stabbing attacks.

Could this be an explanation of Mohammad’s motive?
