Last week, Americans who had exhausted their entire queue on Netflix and had nothing better to do tuned-into the Democratic debate where three nobodies and two socialists all took turns agreeing with each other on far-left policy issues.
Hillary Clinton came off, undeniably, more-polished than she has been in years; however, that may not be enough to save her disastrous campaign. Without a substantive challenge to her policies or her past and with her political rivals even jumping to defend her on her email scandal, the debate was a walk in the park and the testy, amateurish candidate shined brightly in an arena manufactured for her to deliver her scripted talking points in a supportive, leftist atmosphere.
Indeed, the only real vestige of legitimate questioning came from Anderson Cooper who questioned Hillary’s constant flip-flops.
“You change your positions on political expediency,” Cooper said.
“You were against same-sex marriage; now you’re for it. You defended President Obama’s immigration policies; now you say they’re too harsh. You supported his trade deal dozens of times. You even called it the gold standard. Now suddenly, last week you’re against it. Will you say anything to get elected?”
It’s not exactly the grilling that moderators gave Donald Trump, but it’s a good question.
Hillary has voiced her support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) 24 times and has even called it the “gold standard.” However, in recent weeks, she has flip-flopped on the TPP and has come out against TPP because it supposedly didn’t meet her “high standards.”
When challenged on the flip-flop, she claimed that she had “hoped” it would be the “gold standard,” but that’s not what she said dozens of times.
Similarly, Barack Obama promised that we could keep our health plan. When confronted with his outright lie, he claimed that he had always meant, “If your health plan meets certain requirements, you can keep it.”
Clinton repeatedly claimed that she was against the legalization of same-sex marriage. Now she’s for it.
Hillary’s State Department issued reports that claim that the Keystone Pipeline would have minimal environmental impact. Now she’s against it.
Hillary opposed issuing driver’s licenses to illegals. Now she’s for it.
Hillary supported Obama’s immigration policies.
Now she says that they’re too harsh.
She was for the war in Iraq before she was against it.
It’s true that politicians and all human beings are capable of changing their stances on issues from time to time. However, there does not seem to be a single idea or belief system within Hillary Clinton that has any roots. Her interest is entirely in self-survival and her breed is the worst kind of parasitic politician- the politician that holds no allegiance to anyone or anything but herself and the advancement of her own ego and self-worth.
The below video serves as a funny highlight reel of the various flip-flops of Hillary’s positions that appear to change frequently to meet her self-serving ends.
