On the heels of a lurid video in which Donald Trump is viewed cavalierly bragging about sexually assaulting women and Trump dismissing the 2005 taped conversation as “locker room talk” at the last presidential debate, several women have come forward accusing Trump of groping them.
Trump has denied the allegations of sexual harassment and groping and responded by threatening legal action against the media companies reporting the accusations but longtime Trump construction executive, Barbara Res, who worked for Trump for 18 years, says she “absolutely” believes the accusations, in an interview with CNN on Thursday.
Barbara Res told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota that behavior Trump has been accused of fully falls in line with what she experienced in working with the New York real estate magnet for almost two decades.
“I do believe it. Yes, absolutely,” Res confirmed. “He’s a blatant sexist.”
“I saw him be aggressive in business, and throw his weight around and use the fact that he had power. And I think sexual assault and sexual harassment are really about the abuse of power — ‘I can do this to you because I am who I am’ — I do think it went to his head. So much else went to his head that it does make sense to me that he would do something like that,” Res asserted.
