Harry Reid’s Top 10 Greatest Hits

Harry Reid

1)  Obama a Good Candidate Because He’s “Light-skinned” “With No Negro Dialect”

During Barack Obama’s first presidential contest, Reid deduced that Obama had what it took to be a winning presidential candidate because he was, according to Reid, a “light-skinned” African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” It wasn’t considered to be a racist comment by the leftstream media or the Democrat Party, because Reid is a Democrat, and we all know that it’s impossible for leftists to be racist, even though the Democrat Party has a deep history of racism, including being the party of slavery, Jim Crow laws, and segregation.

The Democrat Senate leader apologized for the comments after they were made public in 2010.

2)  Koch Brothers are the Main Cause of Global Warming

In May of 2014, Reid was on a crazy tirade against the anti-crony capitalism, free-market-promoting Koch Brothers, accusing them of most, if not all, evil in the world.

In this case, Reid accused the two private citizens, who have been known to support conservative and libertarian causes, as being the main cause of global warming climate change, even though there hasn’t been any global warming in over 17 years.

The unhinged, Koch-obsessed Reid even committed a full page on his official government website to attacking the private citizens, an unethical and unprecedented abuse of power.

3)  Freedom-loving, Constitution-supporting, flag-waving Americans are “domestic terrorists.”

In full Saul Alinsky demonization mode, as usual, whenever individuals form together to defy big government tyranny, Reid is always there to demonize the group.

Even though, as Reid surely knows, the pro-liberty, pro-Constitution Tea Party movement believes in constitutionally limited government, as America’s Founding Fathers designed, Reid told talk show host Rusty Humphries in 2013 that, “I believe that, my experience with the Tea Party is they are against government in any form,” comparing the movement to “anarchists.”

Moreover, Reid called peaceful protestors taking exception to the federal government’s tyrannical, heavy-handed bullying tactics against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, “domestic terrorists.”

If we could only get Reid and his Democrat cohorts to worry about, or even say the term, “radical Islamic terrorism,” as much as he does freedom-loving Americans, that would be real progress.

4)  D.C. Tourists Stink — Literally

To tourists visiting Capitol Hill, Reid said this gem about Washington, DC, tourists:

“My staff has always said, ‘Don’t say this,’ but I’m going to say it again because it’s so descriptive because it’s true. In the summertime, because [of] high humidity and how hot it gets here, you could literally smell the tourists coming into the Capitol.”

You should have listened to your staff on this one, Harry.

5)  Everyone Wants to Pay More Taxes, Except the Evil Republicans

“The only people who feel there shouldn’t be more coming into the federal government from the rich are the Republicans in Congress,” Reid said in 2013 to Nevada Public Radio. “Everybody else, including the rich people, are willing to pay more. They want to pay more,” Reid assumed.

You know what happens when you assume, right, Harry?

6)  Great Day in America — Only 36,000 Jobs Lost!

Trying to put the proverbial lipstick on the pig, the piggish economic numbers in this case, Reid said in 2010:

“Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today.”

7)  Victims of Obamacare are Liars

After a female leukemia patient lost her healthcare insurance because of Obamacare, joining millions of other Americans negatively affected, Reid called every person experiencing negative consequences of the 2,700-page behemoth, “liars.”

8)  Oppose Obamacare? Then You Must Support Slavery

Huh?

Keep in mind that this is the kind of rhetoric Communist “progressive” Democrats love. This is why Reid was their leader in the Senate. It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, but what the hell, some useful idiots and uninformed voters will fall for it.

Classic Reid from 2009:

 9)  Senior Citizens Love Reading Junk Mail — They’ve Got Nothing Better to Do

While grasping for straws, attempting to sell a U.S. Postal Service reform bill, Reid had this condescending and ridiculous statement about senior citizens.

“And when talking about seniors, seniors love getting junk mail. It’s sometimes their only way of communicating or feeling like they’re part of the real world.”

Reid’s logic was that if the postal service were made more efficient, and the failing institution had to close some post offices, some seniors wouldn’t be able to live without their beloved junk mail.

Oh, brother.

10)  No Millionaires Create Jobs

Last, but certainly not least, is this whopper from 2011, in the middle of the Obama Regime’s push for Marxist class warfare leading up to the 2012 elections.

The message here, of course, is that businesses don’t create jobs. You must depend on “big daddy government” to provide all of your needs. It’s all part of the left’s “You didn’t build that” narrative.

Granted, this is a “Top Ten” list. It could easily be a top 100 or even a top 1,000 list, considering the number of lies, distortions, gaffes, and absurd statements the Democrat leader has spewed over his three-decades-long career.
