Indy Candidate Evan McMullin’s First Interview: ‘Trump is Weak’ [VIDEO]

In this short clip from his first interview to be aired tonight on ABC News, new Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin came out shooting with both barrels, calling Republican nominee Donald Trump “weak.”

To the point, McMullin said that Trump is “defeating himself” and that he is “ensuring that Hillary Clinton is elected.”

It’s clear to me that he is a weak candidate,” McMullin, 40, a former CIA counter-terrorism officer and House GOP Chief Policy Director told ABC News on Monday, the same day he officially announced his candidacy in an open “Letter to America.”

“Trump is weak and, in fact, I question whether he actually has the stamina to complete the race,” he contended.

Evan McMullin also took a shot at Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton in his announcement statement on Monday:

“Hillary Clinton is a corrupt career politician who has recklessly handled classified information in an attempt to avoid accountability and put American lives at risk including those of my former colleagues. She fails the basic tests of judgment and ethics any candidate for President must meet.”

UPDATE: Here’s the entire interview on ABC. McMullin states that in his professional opinion as a former CIA officer, Donald Trump is a fraud and a con man, charges he doesn’t take lightly.
