As the leftstream media attempts to divide and conquer GOP presidential candidates, trying desperately to winnow out the field of any non-establishment candidates, the latest strategy is to attempt to pit the current frontrunners, outsiders Donald Trump and Ted Cruz against each other, causing a mud fight that would make a lane for candidates that meet the RINO seal of approval, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, or even Lindsey Graham, all open borders, pro-amnesty types who are acceptable to the crony capitalist big donor class.
While Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have been about the only two candidates in a virtual “attack-free zone,” Friday morning Trump took to Twitter to indicate that the long-awaited battle between the two grassroots favorites was about to begin.
The cocky billionaire and reality TV star tweeted that “Ted Cruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall like the others. Will be easy!”
Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall like all others. Will be easy!

Almost all candidates, with the exception of Ted Cruz have been the recipients of Donald Trump’s personal, non-issues related attacks. Jeb Bush and Ben Carson were labeled by Trump as being “low energy” and “even lower energy,” respectively while Carly Fiorina’s face was ridiculed by Trump as being unpresidential. Lindsey Graham had his personal cell phone number given out to reporters at a Trump press conference. Ted Cruz also took to Twitter, but not to attack Trump. Quite to the contrary, Cruz tweeted that “Donald Trump is terrific,” and that the establishment’s only hope is to create a cage match featuring Trump vs. Cruz. He ended with an in-your-face hashtag, #DealWithIt.
In other words, Cruz isn’t taking the bait. From the beginning, Cruz has principally stuck with his strategy of staying out of the political food fights. And based on his consistent track record of keeping his word, there is no reason to believe Cruz will get down in the mud of personal attacks.
Audio of a recent private Ted Cruz fundraiser has been used by the leftist New York Times, and others, to trigger fights between the top two leading GOP candidates. At the fundraiser, Cruz said he did not believe that either Trump or Carson would be the nominee and that he was the best candidate to have his finger on the “button,” hardly a vicious attack.
Establishment squishes Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Lindsey Graham and John Kasich are at a combined 9% in the latest CBS/NYT poll, while Trump, Cruz and Ben Carson command an establishment-crushing 64% (Trump: 35%, Cruz: 16%, Carson: 13%).
Surely, this will be a frustration to the media as well as the RINO Mitch McConnell-types in the GOP.
