For the first time since 2006, the Republican party will have control of the U.S. House, U.S. Senate and the Presidency. The question is, what are they going to do with it?
Republicans in DC have promised the grassroots time and again that they would fight Obama on Obamacare. After the overreaching legislation was passed with only 51 votes using a reconciliation measure then affirmed by the Supreme Court who changed the wording of the law so that they could say it was constitutional, Republicans have promised to repeal it. Though they have had control of the House and Senate since 2014, they have made no attempt to fight Obama on his signature legislation that is falling apart before our very eyes. But, under President Trump with a Republican-controlled Congress, will things be different?
According to Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, things will indeed be different and they will finally move to repeal the disaster that is Obamacare.
Speaking on Wednesday, McConnell said, “It’s pretty high on our agenda as you know. I would be shocked if we didn’t move forward and keep our commitment to the American people.”
He would be shocked?
Tell me, if he doesn’t know whether he will live up to his commitment to the American people, then who does?
The Republican Party have been given the ultimate power in repealing the big government, overreaching monstrosity of Obamacare. Use it.
