Is the Confederate Flag Removal Just Part of the Left’s Scheme to Rewrite American History?

With the uproar over whether the Confederate flag should be removed from flying at the South Carolina state capitol following the killing of 9 black people at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston by a deranged white man, we are witnessing ripple effects throughout the country. Not only are Ebay and Walmart now vowing not to sell any item that has a Confederate flag image, but we now have instances of vandalism of statues of Confederate generals.

At the University of Texas at Austin campus, statues of Confederate generals were vandalized Monday night. Statues of Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis and Albert Sydney Johnston were spray painted with the words “Black Lives Matter” and “Bump All the Chumps.”

Will the university be leaned upon to take down these statues, a part of history, because they are deemed to be offensive? Will Americans be made to deny part of their history because it is considered a bitter era that we’d rather forget?

The Left has been seeking to rewrite American history for years now. As they have slowly taken over the education system at all levels, we have witnessed portions of our history be completely excluded or covered only slightly. Part of their attempt to rewrite history is that in doing so, they will be able to hide the very nature of their racist past.

In modern day times, Democrats try to paint themselves as the party that fights for the rights of everyone. Not only that, they claim to have done so for decades, even seeking to hijack the reality of the Civil Rights movement. The reality is, it was the Democrat party that enacted the racist Jim Crow laws, that fought against Civil Rights laws, that formed the KKK, and that fought for slavery.

The Confederate flag has its roots in the Democrat party so much that as the governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton both honored it and protected it. In fact, the reason the Confederate flag was flown at the South Carolina capitol was thanks to Democrat Governor Fritz Hollings‘ decision to do so in 1962

Now, however, Democrats want to sing a different tune in calling for the flag to be removed not only from flying on the South Carolina capitol grounds, but stricken from all of society. The only thing that has changed from last week to now is that Dylann Roof, the deranged white man who shot and killed 9 black people in a church in Charleston, was photographed at one time with the flag and had warped white supremacist views.

Roof was also photographed burning the American flag. Will the flag of our republic be the next target?
