During the 2016 presidential election, as with every presidential election, Hollywood celebrities fawned over the Democrat candidate, in this case it was corrupt, liar Hillary Clinton. It’s almost as if it is the en vogue thing to do in Hollywood to hang out with those who say they are “for the people” but in actuality are for control of the people and the lining of their own pocketbooks in the process. That’s why you see so many in Hollywood hanging out with socialist and Marxist dictators like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro while they simultaneously, and ignorantly, call Republicans fascists. That is why they will attack those who believe in traditional marriage, namely Christians, as ‘homophobes’ while simultaneously performing for or defending Muslim countries and dictators who kill homosexuals. Those are just two examples of hypocrisy in Hollywood in which hypocritical, echo chamber, progressivism is put on full display.
At last night’s Golden Globe awards, members of the self-adulation society gathered together and did what they typically do…turned the awards show into a venue to bash Republicans. Jimmy Fallon, the host of the Tonight Show, hosted the awards event and started the night off by taking swipes at President-elect Donald Trump and the electoral college.
There as an apparent teleprompter fail, so Fallon just did an impromptu bit while things were being fixed. Of course, he used the time to go whack job, lefty political.
First, there was the bashing of the electoral college by Jimmy Fallon.
Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media have remained fixated on the fact that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote using that as a way to try to delegitimize Donald Trump’s stunning victory over her. Nevermind that she won the popular vote because of the coastal elite states of California and New York. Nevermind that it’s irrelevant that she won the popular vote since she got trounced in the electoral college which is the vote that decides the presidency. Nevermind that continual pushing of the popular vote validates all criticism of the Democrat Party as having become a party of coastal elite snobs who are out of touch with middle America, you know, the part of America Hillary didn’t even bother to visit because she was busy partying with celebrities. The Left has been relentless in their attack on the electoral college since Hillary’s loss and Jimmy Fallon was no different Sunday night.
In his monologue, Fallon said, “This is the Golden Globes, one of the few places where America still honors the popular vote.”
Of course, this was met with uproarious applause by the mutual adulation society.
But, he didn’t stop there. Fallon then lashed out at Trump — twice.
At the 1:18 mark, he starts in on Donald Trump.
“Game of Thrones has been nominated tonight. The show has so many plots, twists, and shocking moments. A lot of people have wondered what it would have been like if King Joffrey had lived. Well, in 12 days we’re going to find out.”
The 12 days was a reference to the number of days until Donald Trump’s inauguration and by that time, Fallon says America will learn what things are like under King Joffrey. I don’t watch Game of Thrones, so I had to look up King Joffrey to figure out the reference and the slam because I knew it was a slam. For those who don’t watch the show either, here is what I learned in the character description on Wikipedia.
Joffrey is an amoral sadist who disguises his cruelty with a thin veneer of charm. This is best epitomized by his response when his (then) betrothed offends him: Joffrey pronounces that his mother had taught him never to strike a woman, and so commissions a knight of the Kingsguard to hit her instead. He enjoys forcing people to fight to the death, and enforces cruel punishments for lesser crimes. He has no sense of personal responsibility, blaming failures on others. He lacks self-control and often insults his allies and family members. Joffrey is one of the story’s few characters to display no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
But, Fallon didn’t stop there.
Hollywood-types and singers have refused to perform at Trump’s inauguration. Famed classical singer Andrea Bocelli originally was supposed to sing, or at least was considering it until a hateful campaign was waged against him by the so-called tolerant and loving left threatening to destroy his career if he dared to sing at the inauguration. Performers who were not even asked or invited to perform have made announcements that they would not perform at the inauguration. So much for the country “coming together.” I guess they only expect that to happen if a Democrat is in power.
Of course, Fallon brought up that point, too, with this line.
“The flim Florence Foster Jenkins has been nominated. The character has been dubbed the world’s worst opera singer, and even she turned down performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration.”
One person who has not allowed politics or bullying stop her from singing at Trump’s inauguration is 16-year old classical singer Jackie Evancho. At one point, Evancho, who rose to fame after being a finalist on America’s Got Talent when she was 10, performed for Barack Obama. She counts it a blessing and an honor to perform for another president. Although she has seen her record sales soar, despite being warned that the performance would ruin her career, there has been a virtual media blackout on the news of the positive effect the announced performance has had on her career.
Fallon’s monologue was par for the course for Golden Globes anti-Republican shenanigans.
Meryl Streep has suddenly discovered the Constitution and spent six minutes claiming that she and other elitists in Hollywood are the real victims in society and demanding that the press hold President-elect Donald Trump accountable. Nevermind that her mouth has been seemingly been wired shut as Barack Obama has decimated the Constitution. Her silence over the last eight years of his presidency was deafening in obvious support of his numerous unconstitutional edicts and using the power of government to punish those he perceived to be his political enemies.
Democrats still cannot accept that they lost the presidency in November 2016 as Hillary Clinton watched her dreams of the ultimate power to become the most powerful woman in the world go down in flames, smashed much like she smashed her computers and cell phones to cover-up her use of a private, unsecured, email server housed in someone’s bathroom and used to transmit top secret and highly confidential information. Rather than be reflective they continue to bury their heads in the sand to avoid a reality that Americans across the country could care less about their political point of view and would rather that they shut up and act, sing, play ball, whatever the heck it is they get paid millions to do to entertain people. Their sense of self-importance is beyond nauseating. It’s pathetic. Jimmy Fallon and Meryl Streep put that point on full display last night.
