Jindal Drops Truth Bomb: ‘America Did Not Create Religious Liberty; Religious Liberty Created America’

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, a Republican who may seek the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, appeared on the Simon Conway Show on Thursday, weighing in on the controversy ginned up by intolerant religious bigots on the political left over Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).

“America did not create religious liberty, religious liberty created America,” Gov. Jindal affirmed. “I’m proud that in Louisiana we have a Religious Freedom Restoration Act. We’re one of the nineteen states other than Indiana and Arkansas — the two states in the news today that already have this law,” he said.

Jindal continued, stating that religious liberty is a “foundational freedom and right,” and without it other freedoms that we take for granted as Americans wouldn’t even exist.

“Government should never step in and tell Christians that they have to choose between making a living and their Christian values,” he asserted.
