John McCain Gets a New Republican Challenger in Arizona

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Arizona State Senator Dr. Kelli Ward, 46, announced on Tuesday that she is officially launching a challenge to entrenched 79-year-old RINO Senator John McCain, who replaced the legendary Barry Goldwater in 1986, three decades ago.

“As a state senator, I said ‘no’ to higher taxes and bloated budgets — standing against special interests. But Senator McCain has voted repeatedly to increase federal spending. He voted 14 times to increase the debt ceiling — supported bailouts and pushed policies that expand the federal government.”

Ward slammed RINO McCain for breaking his campaign promise to secure the Southern border with Mexico, a broken promise that has negatively affected residents of Arizona. Ward reminded voters in her announcement that McCain flip-flopped big-time, supporting Obama’s illegal amnesty and voting to fund it, leading to his being censured by the Arizona GOP:

“So in the last election when John McCain promised he’d lead the fight to secure our borders and “build the dang fence,” we wanted to believe it. But he’s failed us. Instead of keeping his promise, Senator McCain supported amnesty and voted to fund Obama’s amnesty plan. It’s why the Arizona Republican Party voted to censure John McCain. And it’s part of the reason Hillary Clinton says that John McCain is her favorite Republican.”

“I can assure you, she won’t say that about me,” Ward predicted.

Ward is the second Republican to officially enter the race against McCain, who will turn 80-years-old in August. Businessman, radio talk show host, and FAIRtax champion Alex Meluskey announced his candidacy against McCain in February, saying, “I am running for the United States Senate here in Arizona because as a citizen I am gravely concerned with the lack of direction, lack of principles and lack of citizen representation in our country.”

“Arizona Republicans deserve a conservative choice. For too long, John McCain has worked with the radical left to grow government,” Ward wrote on her campaign site. “I’m here to tell you that you can put a stop to it. I will stand with you – for secure borders, balanced budgets, and respect for the Constitution.”
