Leftist Katie Couric Issues Phony Apology for Anti-Second Amendment Rights Propaganda

Yahoo News’ leftist “journalist” Katie Couric recently added fuel to the fire that led to her crashing career by releasing a sleazily and deceptively edited tape that could have come straight out of the former USSR’s media arm Pravda.

Couric and her leftist minions recently selectively edited a segment of her anti-Second Amendment rights “Under the Gun” communist propaganda documentary to make it look like the group of pro-rights activists from the Virginia Citizens Defense League interviewed were not able to answer a question — that all they had to offer was an uncomfortable and tongue-tied silence.

However, the unedited version revealed that the group of pro-rights patriots immediately answered the question with confidence and without hesitation — but of course that didn’t fit with Couric’s anti-freedom progressive agenda — so it was unprofessionally and dishonestly altered to fit her tastes.

On Monday, progressive leftist Democrat Katie Couric released a statement in which she sidesteps the issue of her dishonesty — her being caught red-handed — no doubt hoping that Yahoo News doesn’t do the right thing — fire her despicable anti-American a*s:

As Executive Producer of “Under the Gun,” a documentary film that explores the epidemic of gun violence, I take responsibility for a decision that misrepresented an exchange I had with members of the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL). My question to the VCDL regarding the ability of convicted felons and those on the terror watch list to legally obtain a gun, was followed by an extended pause, making the participants appear to be speechless.

When I screened an early version of the film with the director, Stephanie Soechtig, I questioned her and the editor about the pause and was told that a “beat” was added for, as she described it, “dramatic effect,” to give the audience a moment to consider the question. When VCDL members recently pointed out that they had in fact immediately answered this question, I went back and reviewed it and agree that those eight seconds do not accurately represent their response.

VCDL members have a right for their answers to be shared and so we have posted a transcript of their responses here. I regret that those eight seconds were misleading and that I did not raise my initial concerns more vigorously.

I hope we can continue to have an important conversation about reducing gun deaths in America, a goal I believe we can all agree on.

Notice how she tries to downplay the edit as only “eight seconds,” an eight-second pause that didn’t occur in real life — an eight seconds that she created out of thin air to make those being interviewed look stupid, inarticulate and unable to formulate an answer — an eight seconds that is an ETERNITY when applied to radio or TV.

When was the last time you heard EIGHT SECONDS of silence on radio or TV?

The delay wasn’t created to give the audience time to ponder the question. Does she think her audience are idiots? (Pro-tip: They are) Do they try to make other guests look stupid in other interviews as well?

I doubt it.

#FireKatieCouric must be the rally-cry until this leftist which is appropriately fired and is given the lesson that she and all phony anti-American, cultural Marxist “journalists” deserve — to live in the squalor that their socialist/communist movement results in.

Their job should not be to oppose the Constitution, the very document that gives them the right to spew their evil nonsense. Instead, their goal should be to seek and report the truth, instead of furthering a leftist anti-freedom, anti-American, Soviet-style agenda.

You can’t fault — or at least can understand — “journalists” in North Korea, Iran, or Venezuela or any other socialist or communist hell hole for towing the government’s line. They have no choice — report the government’s propaganda or be jailed or killed.

Sadly, progressive leftists like Katie Couric proudly and voluntarily spew the Marxist line without having a gun pointed at their collective heads — they do it voluntarily.

I believe there is a term to describe people like Katie Couric — useful idiots.
