Kelly Clarkson’s Love for Hillary Clinton Ignites a Storm on Twitter

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Add country singer Kelly Clarkson to the list of politically ignorant celebrities who are supportive of a Hillary Clinton presidency despite the fact that Hillary has shown what a lying, cheating, corrupt person she truly is. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Clarkson was asked to weigh in on the current 2016 presidential candidates. She let the world know that not only does she support Hillary “What Difference Does It Make” Clinton, she thinks the condescending lying Clinton (isn’t that an oxymoron) is “badass.”

[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]The reporter asked Clarkson, “Speaking of presidents, the election is starting to get in gear. Do you like any of the candidates?” To this, Clarkson replied, “I’m a fan of Hillary. She’s badass. I don’t just want a woman to win, I want the right person. And I think she’s also that.”

If Clarkson thinks that Hillary Clinton is ‘the right person’ to be president, she certainly doesn’t have any standards or expectations when it comes to honesty and integrity. After all, Hillary is even being called out by some on the Left for her use of her private server, deletion of emails, and lies about it all.

Of course Hillary took notice and thanked Clarkson for her support insinuating that she is a “badass” as well.

Based upon the responses of others on Twitter, Clarkson’s views were seen as anything but “badass.” Her comments and blind support for the disgraced Hillary Clinton were seen as asinine. One person gave Clarkson a short lesson on Hillary’s corruption.

[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”553157113d3ff”][vc_column_text]Beyond the lesson, there was also criticism and a lesson for Kelly about the overall conservative leaning of country music fans.

Will this impact Clarkson’s career? Since winning the first season of American Idol, her career has been more of a roller coaster with few highs and many lows. So, it may not have much of an effect since her career has not been booming lately.

Clarkson’s backing Hillary for president is an interesting choice considering her public support for Ron Paul during his run for the presidency in 2012. Prior to the election, in 2011, Clarkson tweeted,  “I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last Republican nomination and no one gave him a chance. If he wins the nomination for the Republican Party in 2012 he’s got my vote. Too bad he probably won’t.”

She ultimately ended up voting for Barack Obama criticizing Romney’s failure to support gay marriage, which was the same position that Obama held in 2008.

In her move from supporting Ron Paul, to then voting for Barack Obama and now cheering on Hillary Clinton, maybe it’s not just that Clarkson is ignorant with what is actually going on in the world of politics, but that she is also extremely politically confused moving away from principle and falling for the ‘let’s make history’ leftist mantra.
