Joining Mark Wahlberg, who last week said that celebrities should “shut up” about politics, is rock legend Gene Simmons of KISS fame, who tells Fox Business host Charles Payne that celebrities should “basically shut their pie hole” and stick with entertainment.
The KISS frontman said that it’s the “height of foolishness” for the press to care what celebrities think about politics and that America has reached the “brink of insanity” when some people think that “people living in Malibu” should “decide our foreign policy.”
“I’m not one of those. I think celebrities should basically shut their pie hole and do what they do best — act, sing, tap dance, juggle balls and do all that kind of stuff — and then do what an informed citizen does — draw the curtain, vote your conscience, go in there and vote.”
Simmons went on to blast the many leftist post-election protestors who, when asked by reporters, admitted that they didn’t even bother vote.
