The talk leading up to Saturday’s episode of Saturday Night Live centered around the debut of Alec Baldwin portraying Republican nominee Donald Trump. While Baldwin was absolutely hilarious and nailed his impersonation of Trump, the typically progressive SNL went one step further.
Saturday Night Live mocked Donald Trump’s children, Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric as well as his wife, Melania.
We are frequently lectured to by the Left that the family of presidential candidates should be off limits. Of course, that rule is only adhered to if the person in question is on the Democrat ticket, especially if the last name is Clinton or Obama.
In the 30-second clip, Ceclia Strong portrays Melania in a segment called “Melania’s Moments.” (It makes you wonder if this will be a weekly segment given the title of it.)
As Strong, as Melania, sits in a fur vest with pouty lips looking out a window of Trump Tower, a narrator says the following.
“She saw a man walk just out of sight and wondered, ‘What happens to them, to the people, once they leave Fifth Avenue? Where do they go? Do they disappear? Is there a Sixth Avenue? Is there a Fourth Avenue? One day, I’d really like to know.’”
Will SNL have a segment next week called “Sexual Predator Bill’s Latest Antics?” Doubtful.
