Louie Gohmert: God Will Judge America for Homosexual Marriage [VIDEO]

(CNS News) — Homosexual “marriage” as a legal/social construct was practiced at only one time in the past, “in the days of Noah” before the flood, according to pre-Christian Jewish writings, explained Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tex.) and Faith2Action President Janet Porter during an Oct. 10 interview on Point of View radio. The second time gay marriage was “legal” is now, they added, noting that this is a “little scary” because Jesus Christ said, “As in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.”

“What we’re dealing with is, if we don’t correct this,” said Porter, “then we are crying out for judgment, we are crying out for the end of the world as we know it, so to speak. This is serious stuff because it matters to God.”

Leading into the discussion, guest host Louie Gohmert noted Faith2Action’s documentary, Light Wins, which is about the LGBT movement and the attacks on real marriage. He said to Porter, “But in the video you point out, according to the Babylonian Talmud — a book of rabbinical interpretation of the scriptures written 1,000 years before Christ — there was only one other time in history when homosexual marriage was practiced.”

“It wasn’t the time of Sodom and Gomorrah,” he said.  “Although homosexuality was rampant, according to the Talmud, homosexual marriage was not. It wasn’t in Babylon or even ancient Greece or Rome.”
