Mad, Mad World Update: Lindsey Graham to Fundraise for Ted Cruz?

Lindsey Graham

Heads are spinning at the speed of light over the news that establishment RINO Lindsey Graham is going to be fundraising for….constitutional conservative Ted Cruz .

Just days ago, Graham said that, “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,” a clear joke, but nevertheless a clear indication of Graham’s feelings toward Cruz.

Hell has just officially frozen over.

But apparently, he sees Ted Cruz as preferable to bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump.

CNN reports that Lindsey Graham will be holding a fundraiser for Ted Cruz during the AIPAC policy conference in Washington next week, that he now sees Cruz as “the best alternative to Donald Trump, and that he now plans to “help Ted in every way I can.”

The draft copy of the invitation obtained by CNN invites guests to “honor and support a great friend of Israel and the Jewish people.”

Graham reiterated that Cruz is not his first preference but that he sees no way for RINO Ohio Governor John Kasich to win in the current political environment.

“He’s certainly not my preference, but he’s a reliable Republican, conservative, which I’ve had many differences with,” the South Carolina Republican said. “John Kasich is the most viable general election candidate. I just don’t see how John gets through the primary. This is an outsider year, and he is an insider.”

Last week, Ted Cruz picked up his first Senate endorsement, Senator Mike Lee from Utah.
