Despite what Barack Obama, America’s leading socialist, might say, there is nothing wrong with being rich. Many millionaires and billionaires have toiled-away at start-ups and worked hard for their money and it is inherently immoral to believe that those people should be punished for having amassed too much wealth.
However, there is something undeniably galling about witnessing America’s president lecture citizens constantly about the need for the rich to “pay their fair share” when the community organizer-turned-senator-turned-president lives the life of a king while subsidized by the American taxpayer.
President Obama is on yet another vacation. When not vacationing under the pretense of traveling on an official capacity, Obama and his family are frequently on extended, lavish vacations while Americans struggle to make ends meet and opportunities diminish each day as our nation sinks further and further into debt.
Obama’s 17-day vacation is four times longer than the average American vacation and he and his family are spending it at a six bedroom, five bathroom, two half-bath, 7,000 foot mansion at Martha’s Vineyard that costs $22.5 million. The mansion sits atop nine-and-a-half acres and boasts an infinity pool.
The president spends his days playing golf and has even played with NBA stars Alonzo Mourning and Ray Allen and comedian Larry David.
This is the routine of the man who insisted that America could not elect Mitt Romney as he was too out-of-touch with the plight of the common man and who insisted that “spreading the wealth around” was central to his economic philosophy.
Again, it is not a crime to be rich. However, the very man who with his every economic policy decision threatens those who dare to profit in the private sector now rests comfortably in his ivory tower as his economic policies continue to devastate the American economy and undermine capitalism, the greatest equalizing economic system ever devised.
