Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Donald Trump are reportedly friends but that hasn’t stopped Cuban from criticizing Donald Trump even going so far as to publicly call Trump out as likely not being as wealthy as he claims to be.
While that slam no doubt got under Trump’s skin, this latest attack will likely send Trump reeling. (video below)
During an interview on ExtraTV, Cuban was asked for his thoughts on Trump, who the reporter noted keeps climbing. Cuban’s response was absolutely brutal.
“Well, you know what. It’s rare when you see someone get stupider before your eyes but he’s really working at it. So, you have to give him credit. It’s not an easy thing to do but he’s accomplished it.”
Talk about a backhanded compliment. But, he doesn’t stop there!
Cuban then hit Trump in the one place that always seems to be the focus of his braggadociousness….his business skills and deal-making.
He’s reminded that Trump continuously says he’d make a good president because he’s good at business and such a great negotiator. Cuban’s response to that sends the reporter into fits of laughter.
“Well, let’s look at it this way. Name one good deal he’s done,” asks Cuban. The reporter cannot name one. Cuban responds that neither can Trump.
“When he talks about his great negotiations, they’re renegotiations so tell me if you think this is a good deal. I lose four casinos that go out of business but I’m really good at renegotiating the debt of my companies who have already gone out of business. You’d get kicked out of Shark Tank so fast it would make your head spin.”
For those who are unaware, Mark Cuban is also one of the billionaires on the hit ABC show Shark Tank. On this show, aspiring entrepreneurs appear before “The Sharks” to pitch their business in hopes of securing some kind of funding support and partnership.
Cuban says that he has not spoken with Trump in the past month since he started “picking on him.” He adds that he remained quiet in the beginning of the race simply because he did not like constitutional conservative and Texas senator Ted Cruz . He admits that he encouraged Trump in the beginning but has become critical of him due to Trump’s failure to learn the issues.
“At some point, you have to start learning and understanding the issues. Donald’s been in this a year and you don’t look at him and say, ‘Wow, he’s gotten so much smarter about this topic or that topic.’ And, in fact, you look at him and say, ‘What the hell are you talking about?'”
Is it safe to say that Mark Cuban may not be on Donald Trump’s Christmas card list this year?
