A man in Memphis, Tennessee is lucky to be alive after he was sideswiped by another car as he was driving down the highway. The man’s Jeep was pushed down a hill and into a pole. His vehicle then caught fire.

Numerous passersby stopped their cars and got out of their vehicles to attempt to rescue the man.

Elicia Bridgforth was one of the witnesses to the accident who stopped to try to get the man out of the vehicle before the Jeep blew up. She said, “Everybody started getting stuff to bust the windows. We had to get the man out of this car.”

After the hood of the car caught fire, the people worked even more frantically to get the man out as fear that the entire car would catch fire increased. One man, Corey Kilpatrick, tried to get water on the man after efforts to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher were unsuccessful. Someone found a jack iron and broke the window so that they could get to the man.

Kilpatrick said, “All I could find was a gallon of water so I went back and wet him so maybe it wouldn’t burn him and I could keep him as moist as he could possibly be.”

Fortunately, they were able to cut the man’s seatbelt and get him out of the car before loud popping noises were heard and the entire car was engulfed in flames.

Aside from the miracle of getting the man out of the car, there was one more miraculous event that emerged from that car accident.

On the front seat of the charred Jeep, which was completely engulfed in flames, a copy of the Holy Bible was found — completely untouched.

WBIR reporter Russell Biven posted pictures of the burning vehicle and the intact Bible on Facebook along with the message, “The sight of the surviving scripture left some witnesses in tears. Pretty cool if you ask me.”

Driver in Memphis was safely pulled out of his car before it exploded. Everything was destroyed….except…..a Bible. …

Eugene Mcneil, one of the witnesses who worked to get the man out of the car, said of the finding, “That is God. If you don’t believe it. I don’t know what to say.”

The man, who was rescued after being trapped in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

One thing is certain, God was watching over him and left a sign that He is still in control in the form of the Holy Bible that was spared from the flames.
