Hey Dem Nuts: MLK Was a Gun Owner on the Government’s ‘Watch List’

As Democrats perform a shameful “sit-in” on the House floor, more angry at America’s Second Amendment rights than an Islamic terrorist who recently murdered 49 Americans in Orlando, we are reminded of a great American who was a gun owner who was unfairly placed on an FBI “Watch List.”

David Burge (a must-follow on Twitter, fyi), reminded us of this inconvenient truth that must be pounded into the minds of the progressive leftists like “civil rights” advocate John Lewis , and other progressive leftist Democrats who are hellbent on taking away Second Amendment rights.

In 2013, the leftist Huffington Post reported that MLK, in 1963, was wiretapped by the FBI with the approval of Democrat Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. Furthermore, the same in the same publication, UCLA professor of law Adam Winkler wrote in 2011, that

“Most people think King would be the last person to own a gun. Yet in the mid-1950s, as the civil rights movement heated up, King kept firearms for self-protection. In fact, he even applied for a permit to carry a concealed weapon.”

As delusional Democrats should know, the government has a piss-poor record of targeting American citizens for political purposes. They can put anyone on these lists and getting off them legally is beyond the financial capabilities of the overwhelming majority of Americans.

This “sit-in” stunt is a simply another despicable destraction from Democrats who want to deflect from focusing on the enemy — radical Islam.

None of the anti-rights bills pushed by these anti-freedom, America-hating leftists would have stopped the Orlando jihadist and they know it.
