MSNBC Commentator: Government Should FINE Those Who Misuse Pronouns for Transgenders

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Since Bruce Jenner began wearing a dress, the media has been obsessed with displaying their oh-so-enlightened brand of “tolerance.” Fawning over the supposed bravery of the former Olympian’s willingness to succumb to delusion, the mainstream media has praised Jenner’s “transformation” and vilified those who still cling to certain sociological and biological realities.

Somewhere along the line, validating someone’s delusions became more important than reality.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Danielle Moodie-Mills, an MSNBC commentator who focuses on racial issues, has recently weighed-in on the issue of transgender people and offered a shocking glimpse into the “tolerant” liberal mindset by opining that those who use the “outdated” pronouns of transgender people in the media should be fined by the FCC.

For example: if one calls Bruce Jenner “Bruce” or “he,” that person, according to Moodie-Mills, should incur the wrath of the liberal gestapo.

In all fairness, the conversation pitched to Moodie-Mills was already ridiculous long before she got to it. Janet Mock, a transgender activist, was filling in for Melissa Harris-Perry and questioned Moodie-Mills, saying, “The media’s representation of trans-womanhood or you know,  black trans women is necessary to change. What do you think about the landscape, particularly right now with trans women of color in media?”

Moodie-Mills responded,

You know, I think the first issue is that  We need to stop misgendering people in the media and there needs to be some type of fine that’s put into place for outlets, for media outlets, whether they be print, online, radio or what have you that decide that they’re just not going to call people be their name — right? – and that they’re going to misgender them just because they can.

And that’s what we saw with K.C.  Haggard, we saw in the press, we saw, we’ve seen all over the place, and it’s ridiculous. There are guidelines that have been put in place by GLAAD — right? — that have been put out to all press outlets. And if you don’t follow them you should be fined by the FCC. It should be that serious.

Yes- GLAAD- the preposterous organization dedicated to militant cultural reform and the same organization that purports to be against bullying while serving as one of the biggest bullies in American society. According to Moodie-Mills, these homosexual fascists should be the deciders of what is and what is not appropriate speech.

While many Americans erroneously believe that the First Amendment protects their right to say whatever they want, even in the private sector, the freedom of speech as outlined by the First Amendment only protects against government censorship. A private organization is under no obligation to print one’s comments without censorship.

However, inviting the FCC to assess a penalty for commentary that some find offensive is not only a dangerous precedent, but an invitation for government to become the deciders of what are and what are not acceptable viewpoints.

Or, in a word: tyranny.

Further, what does it say about our society when those who speak in simple, undeniable facts are treated as heretics?

Fact: one can change their outward appearances all they want; changing one’s outward appearance does not change the biological structure of that person. Bruce Jenner is a man. Chastity Bono is a woman. The sooner we accept this basic premise that has stood since the dawn of mankind, the better off we will be as a society.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
