New Poll Shows What Americans See as Top Problem for the US; HINT: It’s Not ‘Climate Change’

Barack Obama and his sycophantic followers have been desperately trying to link climate change (formerly known as global warming and changed for political expediency) to terrorism. Since he has refused to utter the words radical Islamic extremism and constantly says that the Islamic State is not Islamic, he has sought to blame anyone and anything but Muslims when a Muslim commits a terrorist act in the name of Allah.

With the rise of Islamic terrorism around the world, Obama has gone on the defensive for Islam. Following the terrorist attack in Paris, he proclaimed that the attendance of world leaders at the climate summit would send a strong message to terrorists. The terrorists responded with an attack in San Bernardino killing 14 at a Christmas party. Now, Americans have spoken about what they believe our biggest problem is, and Obama, who loves to quote polls when they are in his favor or even when he makes them up, should pay attention.

A Gallup poll released on Monday revealed that Americans believe the biggest problem our country is facing is terrorism.

In early November, only three percent of Americans viewed terrorism as our biggest problem. Following the terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, the number has risen to 16 percent.

While terrorists attacks happen in many places around the world, the attack in Paris touched Americans even more because the coordinated attacks struck people in places that are part of every day life here in America. The Islamic terrorists killed people at a restaurant, at a concert hall, and tried to get into a soccer game. In all, 130 people were killed in Paris.

Then weeks later, Islamic terrorists killed 14 and injured 21 more at a Christmas party in San Bernardino. The liberal narrative that if we were nicer to terrorists then they would not want to harm us was proven to be a lie since the very people killed by Syed Rizwan Farook and his Pakastani national wife, Tashfeen Malik, had thrown them a baby shower months before.

The pair had even more carnage in mind given the discovery of IEDs, pipe bombs, and thousands of rounds of ammunition at their home. Their booby trapped car and house were also clear indications that this was not a case of workplace violence, as Obama initially tried to spin it. These were terrorists with an intention to kill.

The Obama regime has continued to take the advice of his former advisor Rahm “Deadfish” Emanuel to never let a crisis go to waste. Obama and the left have used the terrorist attack in San Bernardino as a way to attack the Second Amendment referring to it most often as gun violence rather than a terrorist attack, or conflating the two together.

Much to the chagrin of anti-constitutional Obama, the percentage of both Democrats and Republicans who believe terrorism is our biggest problem increased.

The poll also found that, though Republicans are more likely than Democrats to name terrorism as today’s biggest issue, Americans identifying with both political parties are much more likely to mention terrorism as the top problem today than they were one month ago.

Currently, nearly a quarter of Republicans name terrorism the primary issue, six times the share who did so in early November. The percentage of Democrats has tripled in one month to 9 percent, and the share of independents has jumped more than sevenfold to 15 percent.

The number two issue that concerns Americans as a problem is the government at 13 percent. This was followed by the economy at nine-percent and guns at seven-percent.
