“Right now neither of them is acceptable.” Newt Gingrich
Reports are everywhere today that the Donald Trump presidential campaign is imploding, from reports that the campaign staff is “suicidal” mode, to others that some of Trump’s most ardent supporters are preparing to have an “intervention” with him to see if they can convince him to tone down the erratic behavior that is tanking his campaign against the most easily defeatable Democrat candidate, perhaps of all-time.
Even pro-Trump Super PAC FOX News is reporting on this “intervention,” a term typically used when a group of caring friends and family coordinate a confrontation with a person who is suffering from a severe drug and/or alcohol addiction, or in this case, a probable mental disorder known as Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
More confusion occurred when Donald Trump refused to endorse Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan , but Trump’s vice presidential running mate, Mike Pence, wholeheartedly endorsed Paul Ryan on Wednesday.
Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Reince Priebus, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich are the names mentioned among those who will perform the intervention.
Other reports say that Republicans are “actively exploring” how to replace Trump should he drop out of the race, believed to be a possibility since Trump seems to already be setting up an excuse for a loss in November by arguing that the election is “rigged.”
Speaking of Newt Gingrich, one of Trump’s most loyal defenders through thick and thin, in an interview Wednesday morning with the Washington Post (who, by the way, Trump has banned from attending his rallies or press conferences), Gingrich reveals just how far the Trump campaign has fallen over the past week after the bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor cannot mentally stop himself from responding to virtually every threat to his massive, yet thin-skinned ego.
Even if that means ripping a Gold Star family.
Gingrich told The Post that “neither” candidate, referring to Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton is currently “acceptable.”
“The current race is which of these two is the more unacceptable, because right now neither of them is acceptable,” Gingrich said in a Wednesday morning telephone interview. “Trump is helping her to win by proving he is more unacceptable than she is.”
This is a complete about-face for Newt Gingrich, who was one of the earliest passengers of the Trump Train and has been a fervent supporter, up to and through the recently completed Republican National Convention.
Donald Trump’s likely serious case of delusional Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) has been on full display for several months now, so for Gingrich to just now realize his candidate is an unhinged nutjob is laughable.
Gingrich stayed aboard the Trump Train through Trump’s attacks on Carly Fiorina’s face, comparing Ben Carson to a “child molester,” saying that Megyn Kelly had “blood coming out of her…whatever,” attacking the looks of Ted Cruz’s wife, and accusing Ted Cruz’s father of being involved in the murder of John F. Kennedy. Thorugh all of this, Newt Gingrich held firm, even when much more electable candidates were in the race — pick one — anyone.
But Gingrich didn’t pick another candidate. He chose Trump in all his insane con man glory. Seriously, Newt Gingrich is literally just now figuring out that Trump is “self-destructive?” Give me a break. He should be chained to the caboose of the Trump Train and never be allowed to exit, even if it goes up in flames.

Meanwhile, despite all evidence to the contrary, Donald Trump, acting as his own propagandist, contends that his campaign has “perhaps” never been more unified.
There is great unity in my campaign, perhaps greater than ever before. I want to thank everyone for your tremendous support. Beat Crooked H!
