Okay, maybe some people were expecting this since it is April Fools’ Day, but this tweet by Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell really got a lot of people upset, especially those in Steelers Nation.
People obviously forgot for at least a moment that it is April Fools’ Day and they fell for Bell’s prank hook, line, and sinker.
Here is Bell’s tweet that freaked a bunch of people the heck out.
it's been a great run with Steeler Nation, I will always have love 4 all my former teammates, coaches, & for all my fans! but gotta move on!

Fans weighed in with lots of emotion.

Indeed, it was a joke. About two hours after the initial tweet, after fans were left to wonder if it was true, Bell tweeted that it was all a joke. Apparently, his prank of a tweet even fooled his agent.
To show you how loved he is in Pittsburgh, one fan stated what many other no doubt also think.
We already know it's April fools. They'll be the fools if they ever let you go https://t.co/ETceL9Qy2i

I know this post is completely unpolitical, but sometimes you’ve got to break away from politics for a little bit of a laugh. Besides, in a culture in which Christians are constantly attacked, ridiculed and shamed, it is refreshing to see someone like Le’Veon Bell proudly express his faith.
On his Twitter profile, Bell describes himself as follows:
Pittsburgh Steeler RB #26…just here to love the Lord and to be a better man than the next man…I just wanna make my mom proud and allow her to live at ease!
