Obama Appoints Transsexual to Faith-Based Outreach Advisory Council

President Obama wants you to know that he cares about reaching-out to different faiths. His administration is willing to reach-out to Muslims and Jews and respect the tenets of their faith.

However, when reaching-out to Christians, the opponent of evangelical beliefs couldn’t help but offer them a slap in the face.

Last week, Obama appointed “Barbara” Satin to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-based Neighborhood Partnerships. Satin was born a man but identifies as a woman named Barbara.

A member of the United Church of Christ, Satin serves as Assistant Faith Work Director for The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

“Given the current political climate, I believe it’s important that a voice of faith representing the transgender and gender non-conforming community — as well as a person of my years, nearly 82 — be present and heard in these vital conversations,” Satin said regarding his appointment to the faith council.

Satin is one of eleven individuals appointed to the council which includes people of different faiths. The move comes after Obama unilaterally declared that all public schools must fall in-line with the president’s viewpoint on transgender issues and allow men and women to use the same restrooms and locker rooms if they choose. Those who do not comply risk losing federal funding.

Seven states have already pledged to fight the federal overreach.

The council is an initiative that alleges it “brings together leaders and experts in fields related to the work of faith-based and neighborhood organizations in order to make recommendations to the Administration on how to improve the partnerships it forms to serve people in need.”

While Satin’s belief in Christ is endearing, his presence on the council is sure to serve as a thorn in the side of Christians who have taken issue with the president’s radical social agenda that undermines the Judeo-Christian values upon which Western civilization was built.

Of course, that is likely the point Obama intended by appointing a transgender man to the council that is supposed to serve as a point of outreach to faith-based communities.

Obama has continually demonstrated his disdain for Christian teachings and values and his latest appointment showcases the depth of this disdain.
